Here are five insights:

1. The device incorporates 3-D planning software to help improve deformity correction planning accuracy, which in turn may reduce overall treatment time and costs.

2. Maxframe System’s 3-D planning software creates accurate patient treatment plans using algorithms, eliminating the need for manual measurements.

3. Patients who undergo treatment with the system adjust the struts on the device as per their custom treatment plan. The Assure-Strut Technology helps patients make adjustments easier.

4. DePuy Synthes created the Maxframe Patient Care Program to help patients and caregivers prepare for surgery, manage treatment and share experiences.

5. DePuy Synthes hopes the system will lead to a reduction in the number of patient x-rays required, therefore educing procedural complexity, radiation exposure and overall costs.
