Colorado practice completes first trials with spinal fusion alternative device

Steamboat Orthopaedic & Spine Institute is progressing in its trial for 3Spine’s Motus device, the practice said Oct. 19.

The first series of cases have been completed in the BalancedBack Total Joint Replacement trial, according to a news release. The trial is testing Motus as an alternative to spinal fusion. J. Alex Sielatycki, MD, performed the cases at the Steamboat Surgery Center.
