The unnamed payer, which represents 2.3 million people, will cover procedures with Centinel Spine’s Prodisc L artificial disc starting March 1, according to a news release.

The move follows suit of payers in Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan and North Carolina who added their own coverage policies for Prodisc L.

Prodisc L is the only lumbar disc replacement implant to earn FDA approval for single and two-level procedures.
