Centinel Spine ambassador wins 5th PGA title

Brian Gay, patient-ambassador for Centinel Spine, won the Professional Golfers’ Association Bermuda Championship in November, clinching his fifth PGA Tour win and first in five years.

Five things to know:

1. In 2014, Mr. Gay was implanted with Centinel Spine’s prodisc C anterior cervical total disc replacement device.

2. Professional golfers Tiger Woods and Rory Sabbatini have also had spine surgery with Centinel Spine devices and are ambassadors for the company.

3. Mr. Woods was implanted with the company’s Stalif M-Ti anterior lumbar integrated interbody fusion device and Mr. Sabbatini had surgery with the prodisc C device.

4. In July, Centinel Spine released a patient journey video detailing Mr. Woods’ surgery and recovery with Richard Guyer, MD, of Plano-based Texas Back Institute.

5. Centinel Spine said in a Nov. 2 news release that it is the only company with FDA-approved cervical and lumbar total disc replacement devices.
