Three insights:

1. Catalyst’s CSR Total Shoulder System represents a new surgical technique that creates a multiplanar chamfer cut on the humeral head, minimizing bone removal and preserving the strongest bone for the humeral component fixation.

2. The angled glenoid tools assist in the glenoid exposure and reduce retraction on the soft tissue. The Catalyst CSR system has been used in over 1,000 surgeries.

3. Catalyst chairman and CEO Brian K. Hutchinson said the funding will help fuel the company’s growth “through increased inventory, expanded distribution and new product development” as well as hiring “additional talent.”
