Blue Belt Technologies announced that 1,000 cases using its STRIDE Unicondylar Knee System have been successfully completed.

Here are five quick facts:

 

1. Michael Langworthy, MD, chairman of orthopedics at Southcoast Health System in New Bedford, Mass., performed the 1,000th procedure on June 9.

 

2. The STRIDE implant is used in surgical procedures to treat early to mid-stage osteoarthritis that affects either the medial or lateral compartment of the knee.

 

3. The implant is one of the implant options supported and optimized by the Navio Surgical System.

 

4. The implant has been commercially available since October 2013.

 

5. Blue Belt Technologies aims to develop the next generation of surgical instruments for use in orthopedic procedures.
