Bioventus adds two new orthobiologics portfolios

Bioventus is broadening its product offering with two new product portfolios for orthobiologics.

The company is adding Bioventus Active Healing Therapies and Bioventus Surgical, which will include the OsteoAMP allogeneic bone with endogenous growth factors used in spinal fusions. There are additional products expected for Bioventus Surgical in the near future.

 

Bioventus Active Healing consists of these products:

 

• EXOGEN Ultrasound Bone Healing System for non-unions and fresh fractures
• SUPARTZ, a joint fluid hyaluronic acid to treat knee pain from osteoarthritis
• DUROLANE, a single-injection joint fluid based on NASHA technology

 

The company will also continue pre-clinical progress on the bone morphogenetic protein assets acquired from Pfizer in 2013. EXOGEN, SUPARTZ and OsteoAMP are sold in the United States. DUROLANE isn’t available in the United States, but otherwise available worldwide.
