The system was introduced in February 2013 and is used in conjunction with Biomet’s Comprehensive shoulder system. The Signature glenoid guide uses CT data and a proprietary algorithm to match each patient’s anatomy and facilitate proper positioning of the glenoid component. A preoperative planning tool allows the surgeons to make necessary adjustments required for each patient, such as component size, inclination and version.
