Biomedical Sutures Announces BIOFELT Absorbable Scaffold

Biomedical Structures, a Warwick, R.I.-based medical device company, recently announced its BIOFELT absorbable scaffold for orthopedic, cardiology and general surgery implants, according to a company news release.

The non-woven suture has a fibrous matrix platform designed for natural tissue in-growth in surgical procedures. The device is custom-engineered for individual requirements and available in several densities and thicknesses for application-specific situations.

BIOFELT can produce as flat sheets, discs, tubes and other geometric shapes.
