Benjamin Hutson joins Breg as VP of operations — 5 notes

Carlsbad, Calif.-based Breg welcomed Benjamin Hutson as the company’s vice president of operations.

Here are five notes:

 

1. Mr. Hutson will lead the strategic development and execution of Breg’s manufacturing operations and supply chain functions.

 

2. Previously, Mr. Hutson led global operations at Microport Orthopedics in Arlington, Tenn., following the company’s acquisition of Memphis-based Wright Medical’s knee and hip franchise.

 

3. Mr. Hutson has also served in leadership roles at Oak Brook, Ill.-based Sterigenics International and London-based Smith & Nephew’s biologics/spine and trauma divisions.

 

4. Mr. Hutson earned his bachelor’s degree in cell biology from Barton College in Wilson, N.C., and an executive master’s degree in business administration from Mercer University in Macon, Ga.

 

5. Breg is a provider of sports medicine products and services.
