Gathered from investors, the funds will finish enrollment from 200 to 350 patients for the study. The Freedom Lumbar Disc implant includes a patented polymer between two metal plates and is used to allow a patient’s spine to move naturally.

AxioMed will also use the funds to expand European sales of the implant and gain regulatory approval for its Freedom Cervical Disc implant.
