Aurora Spine receives US patent for MIS ZIP ISP technology: 4 notes

The United States Patent Office issued Carlsbad, Calif.-based Aurora Spine the patent, “Dynamic and Non-Dynamic Interspinous Fusion Implant and Bone Growth Stimulation System.”

1. The patent includes Aurora’s ZIP ISPs, encompassing ZIP Ultra, ZIP LP, Dyna-ZIP and others.

 

2. With the patent, the company may further market, license and develop its ONE-STEP locking mechanism and screw implant technology.

 

3. Aurora has other pending U.S. and international patents associated with the ZIP system.

 

4. Aurora develops minimally invasive spine surgery technologies.
