Aurora Spine and CornerLoc formed a strategic commercial alliance to expand physician access to minimally invasive spine and sacroiliac joint technologies across the U.S.

The partnership combines Aurora Spine’s portfolio of minimally invasive spine technologies, manufacturing capabilities and regulatory resources with CornerLoc’s sacroiliac joint fusion technologies, reimbursement expertise and physician education programs. The companies will remain independent while collaborating on commercial opportunities, physician education and clinical research, according to a July 16 news release.

The alliance also aims to expand each company’s product portfolio, coordinate sales efforts and streamline physician education around sacroiliac joint fusion coding and reimbursement. The companies said the collaboration lays the groundwork for what they described as the first fully integrated minimally invasive spine and interventional pain organization, and is intended to accelerate physician adoption of minimally invasive spine and SI joint technologies.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
