The first HemiCAP procedure took place in 2003. The HemiCAP implants allow surgeons to restore only the damaged area of the joint while leaving the structures that help the patient move and function intact, thereby providing an alternative to total joint replacements.

Arthrosurface is a designer and distributor of orthopedic devices for joint preservation, restoration and resurfacing.
