Apple Vision Pro used in its 1st UK spinal operation

Surgeons at London-based Cromwell Hospital became the first in the country to use tech company Apple’s Vision Pro headset during a spinal operation.

The operation was performed by spine surgeon Fady Sedra, MD, and Syed Aftab, according to a March 12 news release. 

Though this was the first time the Vision Pro has been used in a U.K. spine surgery, surgeons at Cromwell have previously used the HoloLens2, a mixed-reality headset created by Microsoft.
