The operation was performed by spine surgeon Fady Sedra, MD, and Syed Aftab, according to a March 12 news release.

Though this was the first time the Vision Pro has been used in a U.K. spine surgery, surgeons at Cromwell have previously used the HoloLens2, a mixed-reality headset created by Microsoft.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
