Alphatec reports $169M in Q1 revenue: 5 notes

Spinal device company Alphatec recorded total revenue of $169 million during the first quarter of 2025, according to a May 1 news release.

Here are five additional notes on the company’s first-quarter performance:

  1. The company’s surgical revenue totaled $152 million, driven by a 17% increase in procedural volume growth. 
  2. Alphatec had a GAAP gross margin of 69% and a non-GAAP gross margin of 70%.
  3. The company had a GAAP net loss of $52 million. 
  4. Alphatec’s gross profit was $116 million, up from $97.4 million in the first quarter of 2024.
  5. The company expects 2025 revenue to reach $734 million, up slightly from its last projection of $732 million.
