The system eliminates the need for K-wires during spinal procedures. The device itself provides the stabilization the K-wires usually provide. By using the SingleStep, surgeons can avoid complications associated with K-wires.

Beginning in January, the company put the SingleStep system through a series of evaluations before its commercial release.
