This is Aidoc’s third FDA 510(k) clearance in nine months
Three insights:
1. The AI-powered triage prioritizes vital cases, ensuring that patients are diagnosed timely by a radiologist by prioritizing suspected C-spine fracture cases in a radiologist’s worklist.
2. Recent studies show that 54 percent of radiologists experience burnout, primarily due to “hunt and search” tasks and the documentation process. AI aims to improve both.
3. The AI triage seeks to empower the radiologist by maintaining workflow quality, increasing efficiency in treating critical patients and ensuring radiologists’ work is more rewarding and less tedious.
“We chose to partner with Aidoc because of their scope. I am continuously impressed by the level of comprehensiveness their solutions demonstrate for acute pathologies. Our radiology team has over 80 percent of the most common acute CT findings covered by Aidoc including ICH, PE, C-spine, and more,” said Dr. Eyal Zimlichman, chief medical officer at Sheba Medical Center in Israel.
