Advanced Technology Medical Assn. Names J.C. Scott New Leader

The Advanced Medical Technology Association has appointed J.C. Scott as senior executive vice president and director of its bipartisan government affairs department, effective April 11, according to an association news release.

Mr. Scott joins AdvaMed from the American Council of Life Insurers, where he served as senior vice president of federal relations. In that capacity, he led the association’s lobbying efforts on the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, as well as on a number of major tax and retirement security initiatives. Prior to ACLI, Scott served as deputy director for policy at the House Republican Conference and in a number of capacities for Rep. Deborah Pryce (R-Ohio).
