The Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency has approved the FlareHawk7TM and the FlareHawk9TM, according to a Feb. 11 news release from Accelus.
More than 22,000 FlareHawk Interbody Fusion System devices have been implanted in 24 countries.
The spinal interbody fusion system utilizes Accelus’ adaptive geometry technology to expand in width, height and lordosis after insertion with a minimal profile. FlareHawk’s expansion is designed to reduce subsidence, restore foraminal height and reestablish sagittal balance from a posterior approach, the release said.
