Globus Medical launches XLIF plate system

Spinal Tech

Globus Medical launched the Adira extreme lateral interbody fusion plate system, according to an Aug. 21 news release.

This is the company's first product launch that is compatible with its expanded lateral interbody portfolio. It has a simplified insertion workflow and a rigid coupling mechanism to help align plates over interbody spacers.

The Adira XLIF plate system is also compatible with bone screws and lateral minimally invasive surgery anchors.

"Whether attaching the plate in situ or on the back table for static single-construct insertion, the system provides me with streamlined, rigid plate-interbody connection," spine surgeon Anthony Bozzio, MD, said in the release.
