OnPoint Surgical earned the FDA's 510(k) clearance for its OnPoint Augmented Reality Spine System, the company said Sept. 11.
The AR Spine System superimposes surgical guides and virtual implants through a head-mounted display, according to a news release. It is an open platform and compatible with several implants from major devicemakers. The system provides two to four times greater resolution than existing AR systems, and is lighter.
OnPoint's AR Spine System is implemented in hospital settings and ideal for ASCs with its small footprint.
