Surgalign's digital health, hardware and biologics businesses have been sold to Xtant Medical and Augmedics through auctions.

Augmedics, which is known for its Xvision augmented reality spine navigation system, plans to acquire Surgalign's digital health assets, according to a July 31 news release. That portfolio includes Holo Surgical, Surgalign's AR and artificial intelligence spine system. The sale will close pending court approval.

"Augmedics shares Surgalign’s passion for developing cutting-edge technology in the name of improved surgical outcomes," Augmedics president and CEO Kevin Hykes said in the release. "We look forward to leveraging these assets to further evolve the xvision platform."

Xtant Medical won Surgalign's hardware and biologics businesses in the auction, the comapny said July 28. The sale, which includes spinal fixation products, is pending court approval. Earlier this year, Xtant Medical bought Surgalign's Coflex product line for $17 million.

These sales come shortly after Surgalign filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
