Five notes
1. Total revenue grew 11.8 percent year-over-year.
2. Orthopedic and spine sales were $2.1 billion, a 12.7 percent increase from the same time in 2022. Knee sales grew 22 percent with $566 million, and hip sales grew 14.4 percent with $375 million.
3. Spine sales rose 1.9 percent year-over-year with $284 million in first quarter sales. The trauma and extremities segment saw $769 million in sales, a 12.4 percent increase year-over-year.
4. The medsurg and neurotechnology segment saw $2.7 billion in sales representing an 11 percent increase year-over-year.
5. Stryker saw net earnings of $592 million in the first quarter of 2023.
