5 things to know about Smith & Nephew CEO Olivier Bohuon

Olivier Bohuon became CEO of Smith & Nephew in April 2011 and plans to retire at the end of 2018.

Here are five things to know about him:

 

1. Mr. Bohuon resigned from his post on Smith & Nephew’s Nomination and Governance Committee in February 2016.

 

2. Prior to joining Smith & Nephew, Mr. Bohuon served as Abbott’s president of pharmaceuticals.

 

3. During his tenure at Abbott, he served as president of Abbott’s Europe operations and as president of Abbott International.

 

4. Mr. Bohuon previously served as senior vice president and director for European commercial operations for GlaxoSmithKline.

 

5. Mr. Bohuon is a non-executive director of Virbac Group and Shire, where he is also a member of the Remuneration Committee.
