CrossLink Surgical is among the largest orthopedic distributors in the country and domestic distributor for Stryker joints. Here are five quick facts about the agreement:
1. Under the agreement, Canady Hybrid Plasma Scalpel will now be distributed through CrossLink to Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
2. The agreement increases market penetration of the CHPS with CrossLink’s sales, operations and logistics teams who have connections in the orthopedics industry.
3. CHPS is the first multifunctional electrosurgical handpiece in the world. Surgeons are able to simultaneously cut and collate through biological tissue at a temperature lower than 98 degrees F.
4. Jerome Canady, MD, founded US Medical Innovations, focused on developing advanced and affordable true plasma electrosurgical devices.
5. The CHPS can be used in several procedures, including the total hip replacement and arthroplasty, tourniquetless total knee replacement and orthopedic trauma procedures.
