Medtronic, Centinel Spine & more — 11 CEO moves in the spine, orthopedic device industry

Eleven spine and orthopedic device companies have appointed new CEOs so far this year:

In early July, Marc Buntaine was appointed CEO of Synaptive Medical, a company that develops robotic surgical devices for the spine market. 

Spine device company Zynfusion named Mark Terrill CEO in May.

Geoff Martha took over as CEO of Medtronic in April when Omar Ishrak retired after nine years at the helm.

Orthobiologics company Anika Therapeutics made Cheryl Blanchard, PhD, CEO in April.

Stimwave Technologies, a device company that develops neurostimulation solutions for chronic pain relief, named Aure Bruneau CEO in April.

Orthobiologics company Bioventus appointed Ken Reali CEO in April.

In March, NanoFUSE Biologics named Jake Lubinski CEO.

Ken Yamada was made president and CEO of spine device company AxioMed in March.

Implant manufacturer Centinel Spine hired Steven Murray as CEO in March.

Collagen Matrix, a developer of products for tissue repair and regeneration, appointed Shawn McCarthy as CEO in January.

In January, Rob Pace was named CEO of Osseus Fusion Systems, which develops devices for minimally invasive spine surgery.
