Here are five things to know:
1. The Rhine Cervical Disc System features a one piece compressible polymer core design with dome-shaped, plasma-coated endplates and a central-split keel.
2. K2M designed the system to simplify complex spine surgery by incorporating trialing and keel cutting into a single instrument. The system also includes a built-in, adjustable stop, allowing customized anterior and
posterior positioning of the disc.
3 Currently, the Rhine Cervical Disc is undergoing an observational clinical study to gather additional operative data and feedback that will allow the company to confirm device performance.
4. The device company presented the cervical disc system at the 12th Annual Meeting of the German Spine Society, taking place Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.
5. During the German Spine Society annual meeting, K2M is also exhibiting its product portfolio and the Balance ACS platform, which provides solutions to achieve spine balance by addressing each vertebral
segment with a 360-degree approach to the axial, coronal and sagittal planes.
