The Quantum Titanium Cervical Plate was developed by Nvision Biomedical Technologies and Watershed Idea Foundry, according to a Jan. 10 news release. The Quantum system includes a 3D-printed, screw-locking cover and screw holes to accommodate 30 degrees of cephalad/caudal angulation.
“Combining multiple components into single nested 3D-printed assemblies is one example of such an advancement, which can provide supply chain cost and timeline advantages while reducing patient risks of component disassembly,” Nick Cordaro, CEO of Watershed Idea Foundry, said in the release.
