Texas hospital installs Think Surgical robot for total knee replacements

Edinburg, Texas-based Cornerstone Regional Hospital is reportedly one of the first hospitals in the U.S. to acquire the TSolution One Total Knee Application, according to an Aug. 25 news release.

Three things to know:

1. Designed by Think Surgical, the robot assists orthopedic surgeons with implant placement in knee replacement procedures.

2. TSolution One features a 3D preoperative planning workstation and computer-assisted tool to help surgeons execute the procedure.

3. The system was approved by the FDA in October 2019.
