The hospital will use the ROSA system — which assists surgeons in precision and accuracy — for knee surgeries and may expand it to other procedures in the future.

Plainview’s orthopedic team also recently introduced the Mymobility program, which uses a smartphone and smartwatch application to customize care for patients.

Covenant Health Plainview’s addition of ROSA is an effort to bring advanced medicine to the area’s less-populated, rural community, MyPlainview said.

“With our Mymobility program and now by adding the ROSA robot, puts us on the cutting-edge of orthopedics right now. You just can’t find anything better than the service we provide right here in Plainview,” surgeon Benjamin Farr, MD, said.
