Robotic-assisted hip replacements debut in Hawaii

The first robot-assisted hip replacement using the Rosa hip system was completed at Honolulu Spine Center.

Paul Morton, MD, debuted the robotic system in February, according to a May 4 news release. He’s also the first orthopedic surgeon in Hawaii who is fellowship trained in robotic joint replacement surgery. 

Honolulu Spine Center has previously used Rosa for knee replacement surgeries and debuted it in 2019.
