The upgraded software allows surgeons to be more accurate, precise and efficient while having greater control and flexibility, according to a May 22 news release.
The system also includes a new database that stores critical information, giving the surgeon a clearer image of how the alignment will be positioned.
Patients also benefit from the software, as less anesthesia and tourniquet time is required in each procedure.
Only a limited number of health systems were given early access to the software, the release said.
