Fusion Robotics is the latest device company to receive FDA clearance for a spine robot.

Neurosurgeon Sharad Rajpal, MD, completed Louisville, Colo.-based Centura-Avista Adventist Hospital's first spinal fusion involving Midas Rex high-speed drills with Medtronic's Mazor robot., Colorado Hometown Weekly reported Feb. 23.

Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk is developing the Neuralink surgical robot that will be used for neuroscience. 

The first robotic-assisted total knee replacement at St. Francis - Emory Healthcare in Columbus, Ga., was performed by George Zimmerman, DO, WRBL reported Feb. 22.
