Orthopedic robotic company adds to board of directors

Ganymed Robotics, which focuses on orthopedics, added former Medtronic and Smith+Nephew leaders to its board of directors.

Michel Therin, PhD, will be chair of the board, and Mike Lobinsky will be an independent board member, according to a Sept. 1 news release from the company. 

Dr. Therein most recently was president of advanced therapies at Siemens Healthineers and had also worked as global vice president and general manager of general surgery at Medtronic. 

Mr. Lobinsky is president and CEO of iotaMotion. Previously, he was CEO of EOS Imaging before Alphatec acquired it. His other past experience includes vice president of robotics at Smith+Nephew and management positions at Stryker, Brainlab and BioMedix.
