Three things to know:
1. Dr. Daniels of Rockford-based OrthoIllinois is providing partial and total knee replacements and total hip replacements with the Mako system at Northwestern Medicine Huntley (Ill.) Hospital.
2. The Mako robot enables surgeons to create a 3D model of the joint before surgery and to ensure accurate implant placement intraoperatively.
3. OrthoIllinois has more than 40 physicians with one surgery center, four clinics and nine rehabilitation facilities, according to its website.
