The hospital is the first in the South Jersey region to add the system, according to an Aug. 31 news release shared with Becker’s. ExcelsiusGPS is designed to decrease some procedure times and eliminate the need to reposition and redrape patients during surgery.

ExcelsiusGPS combines robotic and navigation technology into a single platform that provides real-time visualization before and during surgery, the release said. It is used for minimally invasive procedures.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 18–20 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
