Medical City Weatherford reaches 100th robot-assisted orthopedic surgery

Medical City Weatherford (Texas) completed its 100th orthopedic robotic surgery, according to a Sept. 16 announcement in The Weatherford Democrat.

Medical City Weatherford is the region’s only hospital to offer minimally invasive robotic knee surgery, and it used 3D imaging and X-ras to help surgeons plan procedures.

The robot helps reduce tissue trauma, scarring and blood loss, and patients often recover quicker and with less pain.
