Meet Bingham Memorial's 4-surgeon crew using Mako in knee, hip surgeries

Four orthopedic surgeons at Blackfoot, Idaho-based Bingham Memorial Hospital are trained to use Stryker's Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery System, according to the Bingham County Chronicle.

Meet Eastern Idaho's only team actively using Mako in knee and hip surgeries:

1. Benjamin Allen, MD. An orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist Mako-certified for knee replacements, Dr. Allen serves as head team orthopedic surgeon for Idaho State University Athletics.

2. Nicholas Pearson, DO. Dr. Pearson specializes in arthritis treatment, as well as elbow, knee and hip replacement.

3. David Peterson, DO. Fellowship trained in total knee replacement, Dr. Peterson offers arthritis treatment and joint surgery to patients in Eastern Idaho.

4. Nathan Richardson, MD. Dr. Richardson is a distinguished expert in shoulder and elbow surgery and an avid researcher focused on orthopedic innovations.
