St. George (Utah) Surgical Center was recently reported to be the first ASC in the state to use the Navio robotic-assisted surgical system for knee replacements, according to St. George News.

Three things to know:

1. Designed by Smith+Nephew, the Navio system aims to improve implant placement and alignment.

2. The robotic device is intended for total and partial knee replacement surgeries.

3. St. George Surgical Center is a physician-owned ASC that has been in operation since 1988.
