Phoenix Children's Hospital was reportedly the first health system in the U.S. to use the Medtronic Stealth Autoguide platform for neurosurgery.
Medtronic selected Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's as its first partner for the robotic system, which is intended to treat neurological conditions in pediatric patients.
Stealth Autoguide provides real-time visualization and robotically assisted movement to enhance planning for neurosurgical procedures, according to Medtronic's website.
The device is designed to be used in conjunction with the Medtronic StealthStation system.
Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation received funding from community partners to acquire the Stealth Autoguide system.
