Surgical Review Corp. accredited Danville, Ky.-based Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center's robotic program, local ABC affiliateWTVQ reports.

What you should know:

1. The center was awarded Center of Excellence designation.

2. The designation means the center and its physicians have met nationally recognized standards.

3. The hospital went through a self-led assessment as well as an onsite inspection.
