The county’s first Mako total hip replacement was completed on May 24 by orthopedic surgeon Kyle Carlson, DO, according to a June 6 press release.

The surgeries will be performed at Goshen Hospital, and in most cases patients will be able to go home the same day.

Goshen is hosting a launch for the new robot on June 20.
