Good Samaritan Hospital completes 1st spine surgery using Excelsius robot

San Jose, Calif.-based Good Samaritan Hospital has completed its first procedure using the Excelsius GPS robotic system, according to an April LinkedIn post

Kenneth Blumenfeld, MD, used the technology for a minimally invasive lumbar fusion. Excelsius offers surgeons better precision and results in better outcomes for patients, according to the post from Globus Medical. 

The hospital also recently added Zimmer Biomet’s Rosa robot for total joint replacement procedures.
