Florida orthopedic surgeon performs his first robotic-assisted total knee replacement

An orthopedic surgeon affiliated with Delray (Fla.) Medical Center performed his first robotic-assisted total knee replacement.

Manish Gupta, MD, performed the procedure using Smith+Nephew’s CORI surgical system, according to an Aug. 13 LinkedIn post.

Smith+Nephew launched the surgical system in July 2020 and offers tailored surgical planning for knee implants.

The medical center said it is the only facility in southern Palm Beach County to offer the CORI surgical system.
