eCential Robotics taps new CEO

eCential Robotics, a company specializing in surgical robots to improve bone surgery outcomes, has tapped Clément Vidal as its new CEO.

Mr. Vidal has 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry, formerly serving as CEO of surgical robotics company Endocontrol, according to a July 18 press release. 

He will succeed Stéphane Lavallée, eCential’s founder, who will now serve as nonexecutive chairman of the board.

eCential was founded in 2009, developing “the first open, unified yet modular and scalable 2D/3D imaging, navigation and robotic guidance system for spine surgery,” according to the release.
