California hospital marks 200th robotic-assisted knee replacement

Foothill Regional Medical Center in Tustin, Calif. reached a milestone with its Mako knee robot.

The hospital recieved the robot in December 2021 and marked its 200th procedure in 9 months, according to a Nov. 14 news release. Foothill Regional Medical Center was one of the first hospitals in Orange County to use the system.

The hospital also marked 100 cases using the da Vinci Xi platform since recieving it in February. That robot is used for general surgery.
