2 hospitals add robotic-assisted joint replacements: 3 things to know

Two hospitals in Pennsylvania and North Carolina recently expanded their services to include robotic-assisted joint replacements.

3 things to know:

1. The service was added at Johnstown, Pa.-based Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center and Statesville, N.C.-based Iredell Health System.

2. The Iredell Health System is the first hospital in Iredell County to add Stryker’s Mako robot for total joint replacements.

3. Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center earned advanced certification for total hip and total knee replacement from The Joint Commission in 2019.
