Zimmer Biomet has extended its limited exclusive distribution and supply agreement with THINK Surgical, allowing Zimmer Biomet to continue offering THINK’s handheld robotic system for knee replacement procedures.

Under the multiyear extension, Zimmer Biomet will continue distributing an exclusive version of THINK Surgical’s wireless TMINI Miniature Robotic System, according to an Oct. 13 news release.

The version distributed by Zimmer Biomet is compatible with its Persona Knee System, giving orthopedic surgeons access to a handheld robotic option for procedures using the implant system.

The agreement continues the companies’ partnership beyond its initial term. Financial terms and the duration of the extension were not disclosed.
