Zimmer Biomet 1st medical device partner for pickleball

Zimmer Biomet has struck a partnership with three of the top pickleball organizations in the U.S., becoming the first and only medical device partner within pickleball.

The device company is now the official partner of the Association of Pickleball Players, Professional Pickleball Association and USA Pickleball, the national governing body for pickleball, according to an April 4 press release. 

Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the U.S., growing by 159% in just three years. Last year’s USA Pickleball National Championship drew more than 50,000 spectators onsite and more than 2.6 million television viewers.

The U.S. has an estimated 48.3 million people that play pickleball eight or more times a year, with over half of them being 55 or older.
